Happy Thanksgiving

just call me frozen

Its been minus below 0 here for the past few days.. have about a foot of snow..
skies have been dark and gray.. but what give me hope is the knowledge that spring
will once again come our way.. and we will un-thaw..

scent of spring..

My home has a wonderful aroma of fresh baked bread.. cooling pies.. and come morning.. the delicious smell
of a turkey cooking in the oven..
by mid afternoon it will be filled with sounds of laughter.. and smiles.. it will be my grandsons first Thanksgiving dinner.. and 62 years ago to the date come tomorrow.. I came to visit this earth.. I am thankful for many things.. being able to have seen the ocean and felt its power and peace...
being blessed with living  around magistic mountains that surround and protect me..
having a lovely family..
reconnecting with my sisters..
.this journey I have walked while here has had its ups and its downs.. its joys and sorrows.. each one has helped me grow.. and become who I am.. and with God's grace I will continue to learn and to grow..
and I am thankful for the friendships that I have received here..
I pray that those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving that you will have a very blessed one.
and that the light and love of Thanksgiving will shine within your heart..and within
your homes..

monday blues
softest of hugs..
Hope

  7. This was such a wonderful and beautiful post, Hope, and your new header AND the new photos are simply fantastic. How on earth do you do that?
Happy, HAPPY birthday to you, too. What a great day for a birthday! That day 62 yrs ago was a true Thanksgiving for your parents :)
Mine is Apr 12th, the day for the "shot heard 'round the world" of the Civil War. Man, I must have come out bellowing. I'm a year ahead of you so I'll let you know now that your 63rd will be super ;)
    Happy Thanksgiving!

Steve and I enjoyed a quiet Thanksgiving at home and will celebrate with family this weekend.
Hopefully there won't be any of that white stuff in the air!
