Lay down your weary tune

Struck by the sounds before the sun
I knew the night had gone
The morning breeze like a bugle blew
Against the drums of dawn..

The ocean wild like an organ played
The seaweed’s wove its strands
The crashin’ waves like cymbals clashed
Against the rocks and sands

I stood unwound beneath the skies
And clouds unbound by laws
The cryin’ rain like a trumpet sang
And asked for no applause

The last of leaves fell from the trees
And clung to a new love’s breast
The branches bare like a banjo played
To the winds that listened best

I gazed down in the river’s mirror
And watched its winding strum
The water smooth ran like a hymn
And like a harp did hum

Lay down your weary tune, lay down
Lay down the song you strum
And rest yourself ’neath the strength of strings
No voice can hope to hum

I was in the mood for Bob Dylan, and had some photos that I didn't know just what to do with..

I hope you all have a great Labor Day Weekend for those of you who celebrate it.
soft hugs ~Hope

  9. Hope I love how the photos so go with the words of the song. Both so inhance each other. What a great idea. So funny I just check a lyrics book out at the libray just to get some more poem and more ideas to add to my photos. After reading some of the songs I realized so many could be used with my photos. Now to find the time. My hubby is gone right now so I have the computer to myself for a few days. Can finely try and catch up with everyon and hopefully get another blog out soon. Have a great week and thanks for sharing.. Hugs Carrie
