Autumn and its brilliant colors and its crisp winds.. let us know its time for pruning. we prune the trees, the roses bushes , clean up the yards of leaves.. all the while the trees and bushes are getting ready for the harshness of winter.. putting all their growth and energy into their root systems.. so they will have a better chance of survival…
We to are being pruned during the Autumns in life.. we start to feel the need to buckle down and get things ready for the coming winter months.. sometimes or moods change.. we become depressed.. some blame it on the lack of light.. that they aren’t getting enough as they did in the warmer seasons.. and I am sure that’s true to some point..
But I also think that we are being pruned in order to be prepared for those harsh months so we to will be able to survive.. and like the trees we to have to bring nourishment into the roots of our lives that support and help us survive.. and thrive no matter what may come our way.
Hope so nice to see you post. I am not here myself very often and just quickly opened my feed as I haven't been to blogs for awhile and there is your blog at top. You words are so true here. Autumn is a time to recoil and just prepare for the winter to come. Beautiful photo as soft and and yet intense a Autumn can be. We had our first snow the other day and much more expected this week. Normally I would be starting to feel the need for hibernation, but way too much is going on for me right now. But feeling pretting good about it. Wishing you a wonderful week. Hugs....
ReplyDeleteCarrie, I tried so hard last night to comment on your post.. not sure what was going on.. but my comment would not post.. I had that problem with lots of others as well... gotta be a google thing :-(
Deletehappy that things are going well with you and your loved ones.. enjoy its peace... soft hugs
I like how you put that: fall pruning. Our trees are mostly bare now...ready for the next step in the season...not sure I am though.
ReplyDeleteyou pretty put the awareness of the need for pruning in effect Joe... ;-)
Deletewe still have a few leaves on the trees here.. seems they are hanging on or frozen on.. been bitterly cold ..
